The Garmin Edge 530 has the same overall capabilities as the 830 model, only without touchscreen functionality or on-device course creator. Otherwise, it delivers everything you’d want in an advanced GPS cycling computer, with dynamic performance monitoring (VO2 max, recovery time, training load, heat and altitude acclimation), ride-specific mapping and popularity routing, and advanced metrics for variable conditions such as position, bike setup, ride duration and more.

The Edge 530 connects with more training apps than ever, and syncing it to your Garmin Connect app opens up even more workout options. Use the ClimbPro feature to automatically see the remaining ascent and grade when you’re climbing while following a route or course, or check out the MTB Dynamics, with mountain biking metrics such as jump count, jump distance, and hang time. 

For safety, this model includes a new bike alarm, group messaging and tracking, incident detection, assistance and compatibility with Variant rearview radar, and lights so you can see and be seen (when device is paired with your compatible smartphone). The extended 20 hour battery life (with GPS) ensures the Edge 530 will carry you through a complete day’s journey, and the high resolution color display makes it easy to follow a course in any light conditions.
